Important times of my life...
Three months I have been staying in Minehead, England - where I attended
the West Somerset Community College. I have not often enjoyed life as much
as I did when I was there, and I have probably never had so many friends.
With quite a few of them I am still in contact.
The school provided me with lots of work, projects and activities, each one more interesting than the other - I have never been busier in my life.
My time has been totally filled out with all sorts of things - thinking
back I often wonder how I managed to do so many things at the same time.
One of the things which took most of my spare time was the music group
of the college.
It was usually during the lunchbreaks when we met in the music room
- in order to sing songs, to practise, or to simply enjoy listening to
music. We have had lots of fun - I often think back to these times.
We have had a small choir competition, some smaller school concerts and
all sorts of occasions to practise for. I wrote several new songs in this
time, and I managed to finish "Little Bird", which still belongs
to my most successful compositions.
Have a look at another nice photo...
It was about at the same time that I started programming the Alchemy
game: At first it was meant to be a small school project, and it was great
fun for everybody to do the beta-testing in the IT-rooms.
If I had known how large the project would become afterwards, I would probably
never have started it - but anyway it was a wonderful experience programming
it.
